How to Earn Gold in World of Warcraft

Image : http://www.flickr.com

Say World of Warcraft and I am sure everyone knows it. It is the most popular game online. You cannot survive a game in WOW without gold. Therefore you must constantly looking for more ways to earn gold and learn it step by step. At different levels, you get to use different skills to earn gold.

Level 40 is when you have at least 100g in possession after minus the class skills. At least now you can afford your own mount with pride. At the same time, you should take up blacksmithing or even alchemy as your profession to gain more gold.

When you reach level 58, it is advisable for you to go to Outlands. You can start farming for elemental motes. You will need primals for the Burning Crusade and you can get primals through the farming. The Burning Crusade is to make flying mounts easier apart from making more gold than being in Azeroth. However, it is best to stay in Azeroth until you are in level 60. Blizzard has also upgraded the quest money and exp rewards in Azeroth.

When you have reached at least level 60, you can stealth Herod and kill him to grab his loot. However, you will need the Scarlett Key and Enchanting to do it. You can actually try this when you are in the level 50s although it is better if you are in level 60. Once you have killed Herod, grab the loot and disenchant it. You will get at least 2g or Large Radiant Shard. You can sell the shards. Then you can DE the loot. Now, imagine if you have 10 shards, you can have 5 runs in the day and another 5 at night. Just nice for the day and in one week you get at least 140g of gold. Easy task!

Playing World of Warcraft is very addicting to some die hard players. Some people can play during the day and night without having to take a break. However, please play the game with some consideration. You should never strain yourself too much as this is a long term game. You can always pick up the game wherever you left it. When you play it the right way, you will feel the fun and excitement.

Have Fun
Best of all, Rosetta Stone is addictive. With every entertaining activity, you'll feel success. You'll want to use Rosetta Stone to have that next moment, that next breakthrough. So you'll keep using it, and you'll learn more!

That's language-learning success.
That's Rosetta Stone.

No translation or memorization required.

The most effective way to learn a new language is to be surrounded by it. When you were an infant, your parents taught you this way, by intuitively associating words with images. That's the ultimate language lab, but most language-learning programs completely ignore this.

Think about all of the ways you've tried to learn a language: classes at school, tapes and cassettes, even software that uses your native language as a base for your next one. What do they all have in common? Translation and memorization.

Instead of taking a "direct flight" from your brain to your new language, translation and memorization connects you to your old language. You always have to "fly" from your brain, to your native tongue ... and then translate what you've memorized to communicate.

That might work for a few words, but what happens when you get to a sentence or phrase? When you have to change tenses? You're going to make a lot of "connecting flights." That's why those other methods are so frustrating ... and why they fail.

Enter Dynamic Immersion.
This method encourages you to think like a baby. You'll pair words with vivid, real-life images and make connections between things you know and the new language. Soon, you'll be thinking in a new language, stringing words together into phrases that you create.

Innovative technology.
Rosetta Stone places this Dynamic Immersion method at the core of a suite of software that works with you to develop your skills. The simple, intuitive interface helps to keep you engaged in the solution, while advanced speech recognition technology makes certain that you're speaking correctly and accurately. Best of all, Rosetta Stone never leaves you behind. You'll only move forward when you're ready, when you've become comfortable and confident.

Discover the building blocks and begin your exploration: Levels 1 & 2.
You'll learn a foundation of fundamental vocabulary and language and gain the confidence to master basic conversational skills. You'll move forward and learn to give and get directions, involve yourself in basic social interactions, dine out, use transportation, tell time and more.

Audio Companion
With Audio Companion, you'll enhance the Rosetta Stone experience wherever you go. You'll learn new skills on the computer, and then reinforce what you've learned with Audio Companion. Print Explosion

Print Explosion

Print Explosion
Binding: CD-ROM
Manufacturer: Nova Development
Product Description:
System Requirements:Any PowerPC-based Macintosh including iMac, 16MB available RAM, CD-ROM drive, System 7.5.5 or later. Compatible with all printers.
Amazon.com Review:
If you have a Mac and a color printer, Print Explosion can turn your desk into a hobbyist print shop with nearly unlimited potential. As you might expect, there are sign, poster, banner, certificate, and card templates, but it isn't until you start exploring that you realize the staggering range of possibilities offered.

Thousands of ready-to-use designs range from cheerful birthday greetings and an impressive selection of holiday wishes to stationery sets complete with matching business cards. Print Explosion also gives you colorful origami and paper airplane patterns and the ability to create calendars, party hats, masks, and gift boxes (although we recommend a heavier cardboard stock for the latter).

The clearly annotated interface makes modifying the designs--or creating your own--as simple as double-clicking the text or dragging an image around. Some special effects aren't terribly practical, but there are plenty others that successfully jazz up your creations in an instant. Layout tricks--centering graphics, layering items, or creating circular text--are all menu items, and the comprehensive built-in help is always nearby.

Print Explosion's collection features tasteful fonts--nothing outlandish--and clip art that scales smoothly and prints without jagged edges. Browsing for images by category works well, and the thorough print catalog is cleverly cross-referenced. The only minor quibble we have with Print Explosion is that it requires almost 200 megabytes of disk space. --Jack Gardiner

Teacher's best friend
I have used this program for a number of years in my classroom. It really has made making student awards and certificates a super breeze; I also use it to make cards and signs for parents. It is incredibly easy to navigate and very user friendly. Well worth the cost!

Really get a bang for the buck!
I bought this software many years ago, for my ancient Mac, and have continued to use it anytime I need to print a card, flyer, or invitation. It's very simple to use, the designs are nice, and everything tends to print properly. I haven't found anything else as good, for the Mac or the PC. It has been the best software value for my money.

Easy to Use
I've used Print Explosion for several years. Makes nice cards, fancies up envelopes for holidays, etc. It's fun to use.

Great Program!
I love the program. It took a little playing around to get some of the CD labels to work right, but once that was taken care of it, the program works great! I highly recommend it, especially if you are in education or if you do a lot of postcards and greeting cards. Worth the money I spent...much better than Corel or Print Shop!

Stunning Stuff!
I am having a wonderful time with Print Explosion! There are other programs that make labels, banners, cards, and signs, but Print Explosion has some truly beautiful, artistic graphics as well as photographs available to creat really unique designs. In addition, it is very easy to import other images. The things I've made with Print Explosion do not look like they were made on a home computer. They look professional. I love this program!

How Do I Recover Data For My MAC Computer?

Image : http://www.flickr.com

Your homework is due tomorrow and your Mac just crashed! Or you had some important statistics collected for a business report on your Mac and crash just made you work inaccessible! In both these situations, what can be done to recover the data?

This is a dilemma that any computer user faces at one time or another in his life and if this is the first time you are confronted with this problem, you may be totally at a loss. With just a few simple steps, data recovery is possible.

The first thing to do is to assess what caused the Mac to crash. Computer crashes can occur due to several reasons – either due to faults in essential hardware components like a bad hard disk or burnt RAM card or due to malfunctioning software.

If your Mac has crashed due to faults in some hardware component other than the hard disk – the solution is simple. You can simply remove the hard disk from the crashed Mac and connect it to any other working Mac as an external disk and retrieve your data. This is one of the simplest scenarios in data recovery.

If the Mac has crashed due to hard disk failure, the situation gets more complex. In this case, you could detach the hard disk, put another good hard disk in its place and start up your Mac as usual. Connect the faulty drive as an external drive. You can try to copy the data from the good portions of the disk using a disk imaging software and effect data retrieval.

Sometimes, even if your Mac is functioning correctly, you might have inadvertently deleted important files from the computer. To recover data in this situation, you may need to use data recovery software in order to undelete lost files. Many commercial applications available on the market can do so.

You can also try to get technical support from Apple to help you recover your data or approach a data recovery expert to help you.

Google Video Explained

Image : http://www.flickr.com

1. About Google Video

We are living in a digital world, where pretty much everything gets uploaded online. There are 80 million web hosts according to the stats made in 2006. The growth of the World Wide Web is obvious, it’s all on the web – companies addresses, documents, pictures, books, you can buy everything from cars to ships. But it’s not just documents any more, pages are far from stating these days. The web is now full with video clips being shared by millions of people around the world.

Google Video allows people to search for video files, download and play them on their computers. Although Google has not released an exact number of the video files available at their site, they claim there are several thousands and increasing all the time. The video material includes just about anything – TV shows, movies, amateur videos, commercials not displayed on US channels, etc. The files are either free of charge or must be purchase online from the Google Video Store. Google Video enables users from all over the world to upload their own content on Google Servers and share it with everyone. The files are in GVI, AVI, GVP and MP4 formats.

Google Video Player lets you watch videos that have been downloaded or purchased from the Google Video website, video.google.com. Google Video Player allows you to watch the videos in full screen as well as browse the video using thumbnails. It also uses OpenSSL Toolkit, QPluginLoader and QLibrary classes.

Some say that Google Video is just an effort of the search engine giant to enter the online video sharing, gathering up a rich archive of moving pictures to be accessed either for free or for pay. Market trick or not, Google Video is here to stay and this article will try to familiarize you with the technology behind it.

The Google Video Player is a piece of software that transfers the paid video content from Google’s servers to your computer. There is a version for MAC and Windows. Technically as a video player, it has some pretty cool features. It allows you to browse the scenes using thumbnails, so that one can easily find each and every moment.

The GV player has full-screen mode and the FTP portion of it is on a high level as it supports download resuming, automatically. This is a really nice feature especially for people on a dial-up or other users with a low and unstable connection. Perhaps the only strange thing about this application is that it is made to play paid-content, which is sort of useless, considering the amount of websites with video clips and all the video players, torrents and ftp clients.

The overall success of this software depends on the richness of the library. If it has a lot of interesting content, it will succeed even if the service is paid. But if the library is weak, then it doesn’t matter how smart and functional the player is, cause it just won’t matter when you don’t have any multimedia to play.

In the context of all that, it’s important to know that Google faces a strong competition when it comes to online video content, from the likes of YouTube, MetaCage, iFilm and several other websites with a pretty decent traffic. A lot of money are involved in this sector, so that’s a big opportunity for any company. The content available at Google Video is mostly amateur, because of the ease with which users can upload their files. Video files can be uploaded at the website video.google.com or with the help of Google Video Uploader, available for Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X and Linux.

But it’s not just amateurs that upload content to Google Video, television networks also participate by making whole shows available and Hollywood studios are also putting up some movie trailers. Because of all that, the video quality is inconsistent, depending on who uploaded it. There are all types of video files, copy-protected or not, with or without ads. Google screens out any sex related material, so Google Video is totally safe for the children.

The paid content is another interesting moment regarding Google Video. Amateur movies might be free, but episodes of Survivor or other TV shows cost $1.99 each, a price set by the producer of the given video.

2. System Requirements:

• For playing videos:

As mentioned, you can play the videos with your Internet browser or trough the Google Video Player.

To play videos through your browser on Google Video, your system must meet the following requirements:

- Adobe Flash Player 7.0+

- Microsoft Windows 2000 or higher, all updates installed

- Internet Explorer 5.0+, Firefox 1.1+

- broadband connection with 500+ Kbps for continuous playback on Google Video.

To play videos trough the Google Video Player, your pc must meet the following requirements:

- Intel Pentium III 1GHz

- 256MB RAM

- 16MB Video memory

• For uploading videos:

The Google Video Uploader has the following requirements:

- Windows 98 or higher, Mac 10.3 or higher, or any OS that has Java 1.4.1 or higher in order to install the Uploader

- broadband connection to upload video.

3. Installing Google Video Player and playing it

If there is a video you wish to view from video.google.com, then click the “Download” button to the right of the video, and if you don’t have the GVP installed, you will be prompted to do so. Of course, you can download the setup executable on your own from http://www.freesecuredownloads.com/free-downloads-download.html#video, or from the official website at [http://video.google.com/playerdownload]. Once you have it on your desktop, run the GoogleVideoPlayerSetup.exe application to complete the installation. When the installation is complete, the video you’ve selected will download automatically.

4. Finding videos on video.google.com

Google’s video library is expanding all the time. Considering the amount of video clips available, users often need an advanced search technology that will help them find what they are looking for. Google has responded to this need, by developing the Advanced Video Search available at http://video.google.com/videoadvancedsearch. On this page, you can specify all or just some of the words describing it; filter results by duration, price, and genre; language; duration; price; site domain. The Advanced Video Search will output results based on their relevance with the video’s title, popularity, and many other factors.

5. Buying Google Videos

Apple’s iTunes Store was the first that started selling videos online and from the day they started, internet exprets immediately understood it will be a great hit. TV fans from all over the world bought videos for about $8 million just in the first three months. Yahoo, Microsoft, AOL and Google are the major competitors on the “download TV show for free” market. Google calls its system “the first open video marketplace” because of the idea that everyone is able to upload his content, from professional TV producers to neighborhood amateurs. Everything is available – complete NBA reruns, TV shows from CBS to family videos. This makes the whole market a bit chaotic, as there is a lot of contrast in terms of video quality. Therefore, some videos are copy-protected and require payment, while others are free for download and distribution. Google gets 30% of the fee you pay for a given video.

The thing about Google Videos is that some of them will self-destruct 24 hours after being downloaded, because you buy the rights just for that short period of time. That’s how we come up to the three basic categories established:

1) Commercial TV Shows – Star Trek, I Love Lucy, all games played in the National Basketball Association are available for download 24 hours after they are played, for $4 each. Sony Music Videos can be downloaded for $2 each.

2) “Pseudo-commercial” – concerts and third-tier stuff.

3) User submitted material – home movies, just like the ones you see on YouTube.com.

Videos that should be purchased have buttons saying “Buy High Quality” and “Day-Pass High Quality”. Buy High Quality is the best option, because the video doesn’t self-destruct and you can watch it whenever you want, directly from your Desktop. The Day-Pass High, are once again with high quality, but cheaper, because you must be online to view them and you got only 24 hours to do that. You must be online to view copy-protected content, because to decrypt those files, Google Video Player needs to communicate with Google servers over an active Internet connection.

To purchase Google Videos, you must create a Google Account, by entering your email address, password and payment details.

6. The GVI Format

The Google Video Player reads files in Google’s own GVI format. The Google Video Files – GVIs are a modified .avi files with an extra layer with additional information, about the type of the file – self-destructable or not. GVI video files are encoded in DiVx along with MP3 audio stream.

You can download a GVI2AVI converter from http://www.kultiras.net/programs.html. The program requires the .NET Framework.

Naevius.com is also a website from which you can download a GVI converter allowing to turn GVI into AVI and the opposite. It’s extremely easy to use, simple and clean interface.

give me my money back
Terrible. I have had the game over one year and still can't play it. I bought a so-called "Mac" version and keep getting told I need a special patch. I "patch" in and receive a message, "no longer working". This company Hasbro, does not know what they are doing. And unfortunately I must give it a one because there is nothing lower. Point-of-fact: The reps do not return calls...now they are out of business. Anything to sell a product and dupe the public Hasbro!

Lots of fun (newer iMacs CAN use it if you know how)
I too have a newer iMac and yes, the CD-ROM is NOT recognised by the iMac, but you can download a small patch (created by a third party) at "MacFixit.com" that works great. The game itself is a wonderful transition from board game to computer game, however, I like to play against the CPU instead of other humans as it gets awfully crowded with more than one person around the iMac.

Good, but no iMac support
Come on! These people haven't updated the software in months! Before I bought my bondi blue iMac, I had an old 7200, and it worked fine. But with the iMac's newer CD drive, it doesn't recognize the CD! Beware good iMac customers! (I'm not saying that other Macs are bad.) Macs rule, but this software most certainly doesn't! Buy only if you have something beige!

DO NOT BUY!
The user interface for this game is horrible. It looks like it was an original game for the Atari 800 that was ported to an IBM PC, and then ported to a Mac. It probably was a good game 25 years ago, but now it's not worth the price of postage.

Poorly Done Graphics
Most importantly for new users, this game does not run under Windows 7. As far as the game itself, you know you are in for trouble when the installation takes an extremely long time to load off the CD. This happened on multiple PCs and under Windows XP and Windows 7. Once I got the game successfully installed on a Windows XP computer, I was very disappointed in the graphics - tile sets and background images. Discerning where one tile ends and another starts is poor compared to other Mahjongg games available. The "3D" mode is a joke. I would not recommend this implementation to anyone, especially at the price. I have purchased better for less.

Great Mahjongg game!
I'm a Mahjongg/Puzzle man and my wife bought this for me for my birthday and I must say that this is one of the best Mahjongg games I've played so far. There are tons of layouts and backgrounds for you to choose from and the different tilesets make you feel like you're never playing the same game twice. I've installed it on my PC and my Mac with no problems and I enjoy this product very much. Good stuff!

The most awesome Mahjongg!
This is an awesome game - I personally find that the ability to rotate the tile sets around go in close and also to zoom out makes this a unique game. The other mahjongg games out there just don't offer this option. I have had NO problems whats so ever running this on my mac or on my pc. I plan to port it over to my netbook this weekend since I don't want to be without it when I travel.

The box looks pretty
This may run great on windows, but it is grainy on Mac. This makes it hard to view some of the more complicated tiles. The color of the tiles are the same, top and side, so 3D doesn't show you much, also in 3D you only get a side view of the tiles on one side only, and instead of having the layout square to the screen when the curser is centered, it points the left hand corner of the layout.
It crashes a lot. This is a windows program that has been mickey moused to run on a MAC.
So save your money if you have a MAC. If you want a good 3D Mahjong game. Try "Burning Monkey Mahjong" by FreeVerse
